Producer/Writer – Mattias Karlsson
Mattias is a professional writer who attended Screen Academy Scotland as a producer on the MA Screen Project Development and MFA Advanced Film Practice. He founded his own production company, Storymix, in 2005. His first short film as a producer, River Child (2007), picked up a Best Short Drama Award at the Celtic Media Festival and a BAFTA Scotland/Scottish Students on Screen Award for Best Short. Mattias has lived in Canada, England and Scotland an now resides in his native Sweden where he is developing feature films.
Director/Writer – Andreas Fernbrant
Andreas has a past in graphic design but has for the past four years been working with different film projects. Andreas produced, directed, shot and edited his first film Saltomortalez in 2004. Saltomortalez was sold to 24 countries and has become an underground hit. Since then Andreas has produced and directed music videos and short films. Andreas was the manager behind the Saltomortalez team and 2Vault team and have a passion for extreme sports with a special love for free running and gymnastics.
Screenwriter – Alistair Rutherford
Alistair is a professional writer with over 10 years experience and he writes for the screen, radio, stage and interactive games. Previous writing commissions include dramas and comedy for BBC Radio, the Leith Festival and Ko Lik Films. He met Mattias when they were both studying at the Screen Academy Scotland, where Alistair gained a Masters in Screenwriting. He recently won the Hydrae Theatre Playwriting Competition. Currently he has 2 short films in production with UK-based producers and is developing ‘Backflip’, a feature-length sci-fi thriller, with Mattias. His latest radio play ‘Happy New year’ will be broadcast on BBC Radio Scotland on 31st December, 2009.
